Puppy Primer (6 Weeks)

Who is this class for?
Pups ages 12 weeks up to 5 months with minimum of second set of vaccinations

Requirements
Proof of first two sets of vaccinations for Parvovirus and Canine Distemper will be required.

We ask that proof of vaccines please be brought in with you on the first night of class for our trainer to verify. If you do not have a copy of your dog's most recent vaccines please contact your vet clinic. 

What does this class cover?
This class lays the foundation for everything you will need to turn your puppy into an obedient, happy and well-adjusted dog that you will be able to take anywhere!

We give each puppy the opportunity to learn, grow and play in a safe environment while also putting emphasis on socialization and brain and skill development. We provide an introduction to obedience cues, body awareness exercises, bite inhibition training, and confidence building while helping you to work through all of those common puppy challenges!

Novice Obedience (6 Weeks)

This class is for any dog over the ago of 6 months

What does this class cover?

This is our most popular class! Novice Obedience helps to teach you dog all the basic that will allow you to live harmoniously with your dog.

The class environment allows for a fun and challenging training class that will help your dog learn to focus in on you.

Intermediate Obedience (6 Weeks)

Who is this class for?
People who have completed the Novice Obedience and would like to continue their obedience training.

Requirements
Proof of vaccination will be required for Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Parainfluenza and Rabies.

What does this class cover?
The intermediate class is a step above our Novice Obedience class and focuses on building on the obedience skills learned in the Novice Course. This class introduces dogs and handlers to more precise heel work with increased distractions, long distance stays with increased time and distance away from the handler, working on "go to heel" from different positions around the handler and recalls. This class also incorporates a stand on command and teaching the dog to stand quietly during examinations by another person such as a vet. This class lays the foundation for both the advanced obedience skills needed to fully control your dog in public settings and to make them even more of a pleasure to live with and provide some off leash reliability as well as competition preparedness for those handlers that feel ready to try their hand in the obedience ring.

Advanced Obedience (6 Weeks)

Who is this class for?
no age limit but we recommend taking our Novice Obedience before the Advanced level obedience class. Dogs in this class MUST have prior obedience experience and already know the basic commands including: sit, down, stay, come and already have basic loose leash walking skills.

What does this class cover?
We begin to expand the dogs knowledge of obedience behaviours and progress onto proofing and adding distractions to the obedience cues that your dog already knows. We increase the difficulty level by adding accuracy, speed, precision and distance. Along with an introduction to Heeling, Fronts & Finishes and voice/hand signal only cues.

Rally Obedience (6 Weeks)

A fun sport for both of you.

Beginner Obedience or equivalent training required

What does this class cover?
This class outlines the rules to compete in CARO Rally and introduces you to all of the CARO Rally Obedience Novice signs. Upon completion of this class you will have the skills necessary to compete in any CARO sanctioned Rally Trial or fun match.

Reactive Dog Classes (6 Weeks)

What does this class cover?

This class focuses on dogs that struggle with on-leash interactions with people and other dogs. Primarily for dogs that have a tendency to exhibit very strong displays of aggressive or excitable behaviour beyond what we would consider acceptable. This class teaches dogs to have calm, controlled interactions with other dogs through a systematic desensitization approach. This class uses a combination of positive reinforcement and correction based methods. Please speak with one of our trainers BEFORE signing up for this class to determine if it would be an appropriate choice for your dog.

Loose Leash Lessons (6 Weeks)

Manners matter, especially for on- leash dogs.

Who is this class for?
Dogs that pull consistently on walks and have trouble paying attention to their owners in distracting environments.

What does this class cover?
This course focuses solely on leash handling skills and how to get your dog to walk reliably and comfortably on a loose leash in any environment. This class does involve heading out "into the world!" on several occasions to work on our skills, so participants are asked to dress appropriately for weather conditions.

Private Consultations

One-on-one training for your dog.

We offer private sessions for dogs with behavioural problems, or if you would like instruction on a specific issue that you are having with your dog. We can come to your home, or we can meet you anywhere in Saskatoon to work with you and your dog.

For help with more complex behaviour problems (human or dog aggression, severe separation anxiety, resource guarding, leash reactivity, etc.). We provide a complete, customized training program for dogs with complex behaviour issues and have a certified canine behaviour consultant on staff!

Bootcamps

Board & Train – Suite (2 Weeks)

Two weeks with us to whip your pup into shape.

$1840.00

Two full weeks of training (14 days) is currently our only option for Board & Train. You can drop off your pup any day and training will take place for 14 days following date of drop off. For this package we will set your pup up with a boarding suite.

What we CAN help with:

  • Basic training (sit, down, stay, recall, loose leash walking)
  • Tricks of any type
  • Basic behaviour problems (jumping up, barking, taking treats gently, basic socializing to people and other dogs)
  • Basic service dog tasks (turning on lights, opening doors, carrying items, possible alerts)
  • Sports (disc, agility, rally obedience, CGN prep, competition obedience prep, scent detection, retriever training)
  • Puppy training (house training, basic manners, socializing etc. )

What we CAN’T do for Boot Camp (We would be more than happy to help you with these issues in Private Sessions or a Class):

  • Anything involving any type of Aggression/Reactivity
  • Severe separation anxiety (ie. Breaking out of or destroying crates)
